Boston, MA—December 19, 2019 — Dane Street announced today that their operations and systems have earned HITRUST certified status for information security. This latest certification demonstrates that Dane Street has met key regulations and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk.
HITRUST is a certification standard built specifically for the healthcare industry. By including federal and state regulations, standards and frameworks, it offers a benchmark to measure and manage compliance in meeting HIPAA security rule requirements. A third-party assessment verifies the organization has met all of the industry-defined certification requirements.
This achievement places Dane Street in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. “Safeguarding PHI is at the core of our operation,” said CEO Will Fulton. “This certification communicates our business priority to uphold the safety and security of protected health information entrusted to Dane Street by our customers. We will continue to adhere to all such leading standards of practice related to security.”
The certification is valid for two years. Continued monitoring of security controls with no reportable data security breaches is required for certification renewal.
